He could feel his energy drain, every cell in his body screaming in pain all with the same will to give up.
He lay there on his bed, feeling the imminent take over of this deadly infection.
His mind began to falter and his breathing began to fade.
An image flashed across his mind, one of his fiancée she was smiling lovingly at him.
The image subsided and his mind returned to chaos. He could feel himself giving in.
His last feeling was a drip of water on his face, the tears of his fiancée who stood over him helplessly watching him die.
He heard her moan why it must be him that was taken.
Even if he could muster the strength to open his eyes, his vision was long gone.
Finally his mind began to calm. His final smell, her perfume.
The last thing he heard, was her, whispering into his ear, through all the tears and sadness, Ill see you again I promise
His final thought, a single image and memory across his now empty mind, her, holding his unborn child then the image passed and his body fell limp.
His mind, left blank.
